Personal Trainer for Beginners

Walking into a gym with no idea what to do is the reason most people never start — or start, flail for a month, and quit. Every Kinetiq coach marked beginner-friendly specialises in exactly that first stretch: teaching movement from zero, building the habit gently, and never making you feel judged for not knowing.

You do not need to 'get fit first' before hiring a coach. The entire point of a beginner-specialist is that you start where you are — including if where you are is a condo gym you have never entered, at 9 pm, after work.

The Kinetiq approach

How we coach this

Technique from zero

The first weeks are about learning to move well - squat, hinge, push, pull - at loads that feel almost easy. Confidence is the first adaptation.

The habit before the heroics

Two consistent sessions a week beats five heroic ones followed by burnout. Your coach programmes for the life you actually have.

Progress you can see

Beginners progress fast, and the app makes it visible - first push-up, first 40 kg squat, every personal best detected automatically.

Common questions

FAQ

I am really unfit. Will a trainer judge me?

The coaches on this page chose to specialise in beginners. There is no fitness bar to clear - being at the start is the expected condition, not an embarrassment.

How many sessions a week should a beginner do?

Two coached sessions a week is the sweet spot for most beginners - enough to learn fast and build the habit, light enough to recover and keep your schedule intact.

Do I need a gym membership first?

No. Most beginner clients start in their condo gym or an ActiveSG gym at S$2.50 entry. Your coach comes to where you are.
